Recruitment of fee-paid employment judges

by Laurie Anstis on February 7, 2013

The Judicial Appointments Commission has today launched a selection exercise for up to 60 new fee-paid employment judges.

Applications are open to open to solicitors and barristers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, advocates or solicitors in Scotland, and Chartered Legal Executives, with five years post qualification experience.

The JAC website contains full information on the application process, and if you are thinking of applying it is well worth spending some time on the JAC website reading up on the material there.

If aren’t interested in applying this time, but think that you might want to apply in any subsequent selection exercise, then there is the opportunity to take part in a mock qualifying test, to help the JAC fine-tune their selection process. Details are here (at the foot of the page).

Applications are open until noon on 28 February 2013.
